One of the many things I love about this project is the high calibre of the peeps (not including myself) watching and commenting on it. Look down the Comment sections for these videos - it's all positive stuff from fellow nutters all over the world. Other Channels get trolled by armchair experts criticising technique or materials or video quality or tooth whiteness or (especially) whining about the lack of stress given to personal protection equipment because they live in the USA where dropping a clanger on your own foot doesn't get a round of sarcastic applause from an unsympathetic pal, but is a recipe for a $32,000,000 lawsuit... But here we just get two guys (and a girl) doing stuff. Dirt under fingernails, outstanding skills, top quality videography, an enthralling and very silly project, and plenty of red-hot x-rated boiling water on teabag action. Oh, no, wait... I meant -

One question: Why would you purposely put the steering wheel and pedals on the WRONG side? ;-)

Re-Watching old episodes got me wondering - how difficult will it be to get this hand-built car to pass a MOT inspection?

I'm a very late entrant to these series, and I've only got as far as this episode. I am absolutely loving these! I work in a similar setup (albeit not as polished), and I can tell everybody watching, with certainty, that these guys are good. Very good! Nothing they've done here is easy, and building something rattly and lairy that flies on tracks and in forests - though difficult in itself - is much, much easier than getting a road car built to be servicable, reliable, fun, comfortable, capable and all the while being road legal. It's no easy task. I feel the pain on every single one of those folds and plug welds! I wish I had your patience! Keep it up chaps.

The original name of twix was actually raider, but that was a copyrighted name for something else so they had to change name to twix. So sad.

It's a good job your engineering is a lot better than your acting or jokes, the jokes are still 100 times better than any recent BBC sitcom, but that isn't really saying much.

6:29 If you move the steering wheel far forward, you'll duplicate every Alfa, 250 Ferrari and Lambo I've ever driven. Knees at your chin, arms fully extended! 1/4" steel for a brake pedal arm? I'd have boxed it somehow. 15:22 Arms as squashed as legs!
