I watch a lot of fabrication videos covering a wide variety of subjects and no other crew makes me audible say “holy crap!” during every episode. Amazing work.

This is what should be on discovery channel, rather than that dumbed down s@#t that they show.

Ever since I've discovered this series I've been wanting to bingewatch it from start to end in one sitting. However, that wouldn't be fun on the long term. Also, I'll reiterate my statement from earlier: With the amount of panel replacing and cutting you guys are doing, you may as well have bought an entire MINI's worth of heritage panels to assemble yourselves.

I'd heard about this project in 2017, maybe, but never got interested. Raised on American two-doors with big, hairy V8's, y'know? A Mini with Celica parts just didn't catch my imagination. How very wrong I was. You gents are proper g'damn cultural ambassadors. This thing is incredible. If you'd shown me the panel work all primed and painted, I'd never have believed it was fabricated by hand & cardboard template. This level of craftsmanship more than makes up for the light weight and the handling characteristics I'm sure it will have. Several years late to the party, here, but thanks for sharing the build! Looking forward to getting up to date with it.. Remarkable stuff!

An interesting fact is that section of flooring-weld in Australian Minis was lapped the opposite way, because by the time BMC began building them here in Australia, the problem in the British Minis had been identified. While it was too expensive to change the production process in Britain, the Aussies presses & welding, etc., were corrected from the start! However we missed out on the Mark2 Mini, with its hidden hinges, no quarter- windows, & rectangular tail-lights (only found on our Clubman Mini with squared nose)! Even our Clubman Minis had external hinges & those 1/4 windows that were so easy for thieves to open!

The re-watch-ability of this series is off the chart.

I've watched this series before. To do the artwork created here justice, I've made a cup of tea to enjoy the video in its fullest. I am aware that Binky has a brain now but it's worth the watching again. Excellent, and I mean it chaps!

These guys are so skilled it's awesome work. I am wondering if it would have been easier to fit a fibreglass mini body on to the downer engine and drive train.
