Realising you’ve had the head porting by ‘someone who knows’... But how come you didn’t gasket match the outer edges of the head ports to the exhaust & intakes as you did with the intake manifold? Would it have been detrimental to the porting/flow work already done?

I always found it odd how the English and the Australians say open turbo exhaust is obnoxious but as soon as they show up for drag week all of them saw holes in there fenders and install dump pipes to have the choo choo choo from the turbos then spend a week reveling in the sound . I'm not sure but I think America is the only country were it's legal to run open turbos.

Before today, I had never heard anyone else use the term 'calibrated eyecrometer'. I can't remember where I first heard it, but I have been saying this regularly for years. This build is mental in the best possible way. Seeing Nik's attention to detail is like seeing myself, but with more fabrication experience. I was a mechanic and a welder but never got a chance to combine the two professions, despite desperately wanting to.

The full "Cleetus-treatment" would've been impossible anyway. This build doesn't meet the minimum requirement of 1000 rear wheel bald eagles. But Ruby is a gentle giant ... she might just adopt Binky regardless.

As much as I like the nice throaty growl of a well tuned car I can see what the EV people are on about as regards all the moving parts and sensors that are attempting to make an ICE engine reasonably efficient.

Great work , but that exhaust manifold is gona cost u power , where’s the power goal as the turbo many would consider will make more than the block can take , the stock manifold wasn’t that bad , I’ve seen 60 Bhp increase in coming up from a better manifold than is on it , but att the rest is top notch

I always love how when the British and the Australians come over for drag week the first thing they do is fit a so called screamer pipe on there cars . it's really bad with the Aussies they will go as far as boring a huge hole in the fender of the drag car just for the event so they can enjoy the chuu chuu chuu .

Jolly good show chaps. What's that yellow patina on the multiplicity of various pipes and metal brackets? You were applying it in a bath of chemical salts. Some sort of electro-plating process no doubt. I should be interested to know as the refurbishment of a CNC mill that I am attempting could well benefit by the application of such a treatment to some of the miscellaneous appurtenances and may very well enhance the operability and longevity of the finished machine. On another note, your carefully modulated dry wit and droll British humour is a refreshing change from what one normally expects to see on You Tube.

When this cars finally done i really wonder if the brake pads will ever get worn or the speedo get past 75kph.. at this rate I hope their kids are learning about mechanics so they can finish it.. usually when projects go this long they end up getting sold or arthritis takes over then the tarp goes over top for another 10 years to be found by some money head who tears it apart and puts an ls in it then tries to see if it can fly without wings...

Please... put argon inside when you are tig welding. Don't take out your wire away right after you finish weld, keep it under argon until it cures (not hot)

Thinking about it, you'd need it fixed with no flex to keep the turbo/zorst mated true. But why the drop linked bracket and not a simple tag to tag Bolt?
