In episode 14 of Project Binky, we crack on with figuring out the arches, not helped by a faulty part. We come up with a new technology - LRP - and we start to plumb the fuel lines in. There's most of the usual stuff including tea obviously! Thanks for watching, we hope you enjoy it!

I'm nervous about offering any hints or tips on this brilliant Channel, and I apologise if this is something you already know. It's about resin. I used to do quite a bit of carbon-fibre/ epoxy-composite work when making radio-controlled model gliders. Both polyester and epoxy resins generate heat as they cure, so it can make working with them easier if you decant them from the mixing cup into a shallow dish or plate. Even if you work in a cold shed in the north of England (I do), the goo generates a lot of heat as it cures. In a deep cup it can't dissipate and can cause a runaway exothermic reaction which produces ludicrously high temperatures and causes the resin to set in the cup in just a few seconds. Disastrous, annoying, and expensive - especially if you're working with carbon-fibre! I found a paper plate was ideal. A shallow puddle of cool resin will give you a lot more working time before that costly gunge turns into a useless mass of toxic-fuming jelly. :-)

I absolutely loved the "Roadrunner and Coyote" reference at 6:58. I makes my heart glow to know the people all over the world enjoy the same sort of humour. It made me think of the flow of Japanese Manga into the United States in the last 30 years, until it is common now among teens.

16:50 "depending on what sort of mindless unlimited budget three day build over dramatized bollocks you are used to watch on the tv ..." tv cars build take like 3 weeks or a month - here 7 years and is almost ready for paint well that makes sense to me now because i see tv shows that renovates houses in 3 weeks but i started to renovate my old house and i am around 1 year in it and after finish plumbing sewage , water , electrical , walls ,windows , doors from scratch i still need to put more things and floor tiles and paint and more things, it feels never ending protect because i find more things to do before those that i didn't anticipate and would hurt the renovation if i do the finishing touches before doing that new things , just putting music and focusing on a small task on the moment help to not go overwhelmed that is what i take from this channel

Silent Pact

@Mike Scudder Sounds about right. I've also heard of them being called post drills. If you sent me out to get a post drill I'd come back with an auger to drill holes for fence posts. Mind you, I had a mate who insisted on calling a screwdriver a 'scrudge'. No, I don't know either. Funny old world isn't it?

God it's still so good. We all know exactly what we'd do in their situation with the side repeated hole. We'd buy a new one and call it a day. These badass mother fuckers waste (probably) hours, filling in, grinding and perfectly smoothing over their mistake. It's that kind of commitment that makes Binky so amazing.

Concidering that you guys want "retro/original" look on the finished car, why didnt you cut the wheels to LP 882 style = early Cooper S. This would have made the wheel aches smaller.

Re-watching this, and thinking to myself: is there really any reason to use different dimensions for feed and returnlines on the fuel? I know big manufacturers do it like that for cost saving when they make 100000+ of the exact same car, but for my own car I just used the same line both ways, saves me from buying two different sizes of everything... weight savings? yea, maybe a couple grams, but in the rest of the build you don't seem to care much about a few kg extra here and there? Seems to me dash 8 both ways would be a better way to go, and you wouldn't have to stock 2 sizes in the spare parts shelf...

Sooo impressed with you having ZZ top in your production Team! - First time I saw them was in the early 80's in Germany and we wondered who the hell this bunch of hillbillies were called Zed Zed Top - then they stared to play! Saxon, Quo, Jethro Tull and Joan Jett were all on the same night - don't get concerts like that any more!

The comedy is absolutely spot on! I worked on Press Maintenance in BMW Mini press shop in Swindon for 17 years and worked with a great bunch of lads who were all very competent at what they done but all the time that sense of humour was present. The German overlords would consider it very unprofessional but I think it's what makes this country such a wonderful place to work. Loving it!

It's a performance oriented cup fender that supports a further rearwards located right side marker for better weight distribution and aerodynamic stability because the air hit's the sidemarker further rearwards what makes it more stable, like a dart... or it's just the curse of British leyland build quality that goes with these parts

That was before nationalisation and the invention of international offshore banking holes and the onshore/offshore crossloaded members' windowed denationalised deunionized rust belt system. These days if you have the budget you could fit a bus down most Chinese made hole tolerances.

Excellent series, but I did cringe a little, watching Richard. No, not because it was Richard! No, really! I worked with two guys who had nasty, finger removing, accidents while 'mechaniking' with rings on their fingers. One finger was simply ripped off. The other touched a rotating something or other - and the ring spun and tore through to the bone. Ouch. Take care guys.

why not push-lok hose? That stainless stuff is such a pain and looks bleh, imho. The hose clamps are a nice touch. I've used a washer bent about 45 degrees, tack weld the washer to the steel sheet and run a zip around the hose and through the other end of the washer.
